High-carbon FerroChrome (HC FeCr) belongs to a group of alloys with a chromium content between 60% and 70% and a carbon content between 4% and 8%. HC FeCr is produced from chrome ore which has high Cr/Fe ratio (above 2). This material is an intermediary product and used as a raw material mostly for stainless steel production providing resistance to corrosion. Should it be required it can be used for carbon steel as well.
